The aim of the scholarship is to support, for one academic year:
- Master’s or doctoral studies at a foreign university;
- Doctoral studies at a research institution (the application must be accompanied by a description of the research institution).
The support may be used for visiting lectures, for individual work, for consultations with specialists in one’s field of study, etc. The support can be received once during the period of the corresponding level of studies.
In the period of master’s or doctoral studies, active teaching processes must take place in the host institution of higher education.
The deadline for applying for the scholarship for the 2017/2018 academic year is May 1, 2017 (the period of foreign visit is 1 July 2017 to 31 August 2018).
The Archimedes Foundation uses the help of specialist experts for evaluating applications. The applications are distributed between experts according to academic sectors, and each application is evaluated by at least two experts.
Receipt or non-receipt of the support is determined by the Kristjan Jaak Scholarship Council on the basis of the evaluations provided by the experts.
