The scholarship is used to support short-term study related visits abroad, including participation in conferences, working in libraries, using laboratories, development of a lecture, work with an academic supervisor, participation in continuing education courses, consultations and summer schools. Support is granted for a stay abroad lasting from three days to one month (3-30 days). The total duration of the mobility may not be longer than 30 days.
Each academic year, doctoral students and lecturers are allowed to use a maximum of two (2) and master’s students, a maximum of one (1) foreign travel allowance of the Kristjan Jaak program. Only one application can be submitted during one call for applications.
Receipt or non-receipt of the support is determined by the Kristjan Jaak Scholarship Council on the basis of the letters of motivation and recommendation submitted by the applicants. Applications for scholarships are reviewed by the Scholarship Council four times a year.
